Our Location

No 18, from the mid 1800’s, was a Victorian butchers shop and today, part of the Artologie charm is provided by the retained and restored original features which include beautiful original Victorian tiles and rails.

On your next visit look out for the tiled wall panels that that now provide a perfect and unique backdrop for our art.

Broad Street car park is a two minute walk from Artologie.  1hr street parking outside is also available.  Cuckfield is a destination village with good pubs and cafes, Ockenden Manor spa hotel and Cuckfield museum. We are a dog friendly shop with country walks nearby.

Sussex Carpark discs are valid and available from several village retailers.

We Love Art

We love art. We love colour, textiles, creating, inspiring and being inspired.

“Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.” ~ Pablo Picasso

We are not a white-space gallery and hope that a visit to our gallery will be enjoyable for all whether buying or just browsing.

Our Concept

Wendy Rowark is the curator and artist owner for Artologie which she opened in 2017.  It is a working studio, gallery and art gallery. The concept was to create a beautiful place with a friendly atmosphere: an accessible place to buy and showcase artists work in the hub of a pretty, historic village.

"I loved painting and drawing from an early age and Artologie is a natural extension of that passion"

Following her first career as a textile designer Wendy  works and paints in her studio at Artologie. Her floral paintings, prints and card designs are sold exclusively within the shop.
